| "Back before Elena and Jeff were a part of the band, we had a series if fiddle players, most recently a talented guy named Dan. On Dan's first weekend in the band, we got to Hilton Head early for the gig, so we decided to hit the beach and the tiki bar. When it came time to leave, we realized Dan had locked the keys on the truck. While we waited for the locksmith I was able to pry the trailer open, get out a guitar and walk down the beach. I sat down, and tried not to think about our bad situation and instead think of all the good times and great friends we'd met in the Carolinas, and Midnight Moon was born." - Connor | ||||||

| "When My Lover Comes was one of my first attempts at country music. At the time, I'd been watching Deadwood on HBO, and been really taken with the hymn sung at Wild Bill's funeral. I'd been humming it for days when I sat down to write, and I used that hymn as a starting point. My favorite part of recording this song was getting to sing all 5 vocal harmonies, the first time I'd ever done so many myself. This is still a staple of our live show, and holds a special place in my heart as the beginning of a new chapter in my musical journey." - Connor | ||||||
